randomness (is that a word?)

Last night I had trouble sleeping. Don't know why, guess I'm just so big that being comfortable is only a relative thing. This morning Bethany got woke up at 6 by Cody's alarm clock :( Thankfully she went back to sleep so after he went to work I did too. About 9 I woke to the scent of root beer and rolled over to find Bethany laying next to me busily applying about 20 layers of lip gloss.

She's a nut. Just a few min ago she was walking towards the hallway when she got fairly close to me she stopped and fell down in slow motion, lay there groaning for a min or 2 then rolled over and extended her hand acting like she couldn't get get up by herself. I helped her up and she said "thank-you". She's learning to exaggerate things and its pretty funny.

Garrett will be here so soon!!! I'm counting down the days, only 12 more now! We all miss him and are really looking forward to him being here again. I'm trying to plan special activities we can do together even with a new baby in the house. I know he will really enjoy playing with Bethany in the new playroom too. I'm sure the Lite Brite and the K'nex will get plenty of use as well.

Cody installed a new outlet in the garage yesterday so we could plug in our new freezer. It should be ready to fill now. I'm so blessed to have him for so many reasons. We went to a gun range in the area last week and bought him a new rifle and scope for the upcoming deer season. If all goes well there will be plenty of deer meat in the freezer sometime next month.

I'm so ready for the baby's arrival, not just to meet her (although that is the most important reason) but also for more selfish reasons. I can't decided which I'm looking forward to most, sleeping on my tummy, enjoying a glass of sweet red wine, or,....well we won't go there ;)

We got a diaper bag, courtesy of Nanny, (Thanks Debbie!) on Saturday. So now I think we are completely ready for Lily to arrive. I plan on packing it with a few necessities today.

I also plan on surprising Cody by cleaning out the garage a little. Also on the list for today is making a grocery list, putting dishes away, and folding laundry. Wish me luck!

Hope you are having a good week!

  1. Hi :) Sounds like you've been having a good week! Don't worry, Lily will arrive very soon, grow up very fast, and then you'll wish she was still in your belly. Congrats on the freezer - hope Cody gets lucky so you have lots of meat!
