Of all the idiotic things,....

I received this text today,

"Read this message do not delete it or ignore it. One day a girl was dreaming about the perfect guy & she received this message. She read it a few times & sent it to all her friends. The next day at the mall she saw her dream guy. He walked up to her & they became best friends & eventually went out & were married years later. A boy was texting his girlfriend when he received this message. He read it, laughed & deleted it, thinking his life couldn't get any better. Then two days later when he was supposed to go out with his girl, she never showed up& as he was driving away he heard on the radio, his girlfriend had been in a car accident & died. He also lost his mother & his best friend. He decided to find the message & he sent it. He found out his girlfriend & best friend were not dead, just in a coma. His mom did not survive. If you care about the people around you, you'll send this to 10 people NO SEND BACKS!!! & before midnight something will make you very happy. <3 "

There are sooo many things wrong with this but before I get started on all of that I have just one question. Exactly what message did the girl get?

I spent WAYYY too much time messing with this picture last night!!!

I really liked Lily in this picture but didn't really like me in it. So I decided to cut myself out of it. I don't have Photoshop or anything so I did the cutting out in Paint.

First I just erased all of the background and left it white.Then I turned it this charcoal color.


After that I took the white version to Microsoft Office Picture manager (which allows for some tweaking as far as color saturation, contrast and such) and made a black and white version.
Finally, I did this one. I like the way it looks.

Which one is your favorite? Personally I can't decide.

I decided to try something new do you like it?

The pic of me on the phone is closest to my actual color. The lighting on the others is a little funky.

I'm going to try a few other colors in the next several months, at least that's the plan for now.

The weather here has been incredible, and scary, this storm season. It is the worst I can remember. The movie in the youtube link above was filmed somewhere in OKC a couple days ago when there was a HUGE hailstorm. So far we have been very lucky not to have any real damage to any of our property, so many people have been affected in the areas very near where we live.

Cody barely out ran a few tornado producing storms last week and last night as well. Last week a gas station(the love station mentioned in the above video link) was completely demolished by a tornado just about 5 min after he drove past it. We have been going to Cody's parents anytime there is a possibility for severe weather in our area, just in case. (They have a storm shelter)

Bethany's lastest obsession

Lately Bethany has been
playing with her blocks,.....
She is obsessed with stacking
them perfectly straight and
will literally spend almost an
hour just stacking them up in
different ways.
Makes for a very quiet house
which to be honest freaks me
out a bit so I go find her and
then I sneak away to get
the camera.

(Great) Grandma Visit!!!

My Grandma (so obviously the kids Great-Grandma) came to visit a few weekends ago. I was going to go through the pictures and tweak them before sharing like I usually do but I have about 1200 pictures besides these that need tweaking so for now I'm throwing in the towel.

I haven't seen much of Grandma in the past several years and that's something I really wish was different.

My Uncle is in some of the pics too. Fun Fact: Bethany and Uncle Vance share the same birthday. He calls her his little birthday present :) Cute huh?
