catchup post

I'm behind in my posting.

Cody shot 2 deer on opening day (Saturday). They are at the processing place now, hopefully we can pick them up this weekend when we are in Jennings for Thanksgiving. We are getting half a pig in January, and part of a cow in the Spring too so the freezer is definitely going to come in handy.

Sunday we came home and had Garrett's b-day party. He had a green cake with the Incredible Hulk on it ( LOL,... he calls it the incredible hunk) I didn't take any pics because at the time I had no idea where the camera was, turns out it was in the car. He got lots of stuff: money, a transformer, a ball and glove, an entire army outfit with gun and misc stuff, a log with cans and bottles that you shoot and they pop off the log when you get them, it's a laser thing so no lost bullets :), a movie and puzzle, Moon Sand, a shirt, and a nerf gun. The last was promptly used to hunt the cat and have a gunfight with Cody in the living room. Both of which provided great entertainment for the rest of us. Later the kids ran around in circles while Cody and Bob picked them off with it. The kids thought it was great! :)

Today I had a Dr apt and found out some happy news,.....I only weigh 5 lbs more than I did pre-pregnancy! I was a little over my ideal weight then though. Cody has promised me an entire new wardrobe when I get down to where I want to be. So looking forward to that.!

This afternoon Garrett played with Moon Sand and painted a ceramic monster with 4 eyes. After Bethany woke up they colored pics with markers. They wanted to do play-dough next but I put that off till another time. Now they are watching Busby and the Grumble Bees.

Lily stayed awake for a little over 2 hours this morning. It's the longest time I've ever seen her eyes open. She's sleeping now but I expect her to get up any time now.

The pics are from a few days ago.

I have to go make dinner soon,.....planning on having pork steak, potatoes, veggies, and rolls.

weekend plans & a major problem

I can't believe my little boy is turning 5 tomorrow!

We had originally planned to have a b-day party for Garrett on Saturday about lunch time but turns out, Saturday is the first day of rifle season. So since Cody got a new deer hunting rifle and I got a new chest freezer,......well we just have to go down to Jennings so he can hunt. Wouldn't want to waste our new stuff ;)

Early this afternoon we are leaving to go to Jennings and we will come home before lunchtime on Sunday. Sunday at 2pm we will have the birthday party and all will be right in the world,....well Garrett's world anyways. He LOVES new toys. If you know where I live, you're invited.

I found out over the past couple of days that I have a hugemongous problem,....so big I had to coin a new word for the occasion. Wanna know what it is?

Cody makes too cute of babies.

I already want another one! Help!!! We have been trying to decide if we are stopping or if we will have one more. I was 97% sure I would be happy stopping. Then I found out how cute, helpless, cuddly, perfect, and soft(man is she ever soft!) Lily is. She's addicting! oh,....and she makes the cutest faces and tries to get her face close to yours.

I can't handle it,......

Lily's first Dr Apt

Lily had her first Dr Apt this morning. We all went. Garrett and Bethany had alot of fun with the toys but were all eyes when the Dr was examining Lily.

Lily is a little jaundiced but not enough to be worried about. I found a sunny window when we got home and let her sit in the sunshine for about 15min.

She weighed 7lbs & 1oz so she's almost back up to her birth weight which is really good. We got a surprise when they measured her length. The hospital said she was 18.5 inches long but at the Dr office she was 20 inches long. Obviously she didn't grow 1.5 inches in a week so I have to assume that the L&D nurse didn't stretch her out well enough but the 18.5 will still be her official birth length.

The Dr said she appears to be very healthy and has no apparent issues. :)

!!!pictures!!!

here are several pics from the past few days.

3pm

This is what all of the kids were doing at 3pm today,....it was good time of day!

phone pics

These pics are very low quality due to them being taken by my phone but I still think they are too cute to keep to myself. Thanks Beth for helping me get them onto the computer! :)

Here's a couple new shots of my little couch potatoes. Actually it's pretty rare that they are both sitting still at the same time. Usually they are playing all over the house.

Stats

Hi! This is going to be very quick because:

a. it's 10:15 pm
b. I took half a pain pill and I'm feeling woozy
c. Lily just woke up and she's hungry

Lillian Kate Potts was born at 10:28am on Nov 10th. She weighed 7lbs 3oz, and was 18 1/2in long.
She was my biggest baby (so far as weight goes). Bethany was an inch longer but weighed only 5lb 15oz. Garrett was the same length as Lily but weighed 6lbs and 11oz.

Everyone did great and came home on Thursday. The kids both really like her and Bethany is very protective of her. Garrett thinks her faces are funny.

Ready or not,....

.....here she comes!!!

Only a few more hours until I get induced and then not much longer before Lily gets here!
I'm happy, scared, excited, nervous, and so sooo soooooo ready. On the other hand I'm not ready at all.

Sigh,......................

What can you do?

He'll get there :)

He's about as country as Big and Rich but he's awfully cute anyways. :)

This is what Garrett decided to wear today. I can't explain the poses but who could?

He's such a (goofy) cutie.

It's official,.....

I have become one of "those women".

You know, the ones who get so fat,.........uummmm, I mean the ones whose fingers get so swollen during pregnancy that they have to resort to wearing their wedding ring on a chain around their necks. Yup, that's me. Only for less than a week though, that's good at least.

BTW the necklace is one my sister bought me for my B-day a couple years ago and I really love it! :)

ok,...no more

I've been going through the old posts and decided it's just too hard to decide which pics to delete so I give up. I'm going to go make a giant pot of soup now.

last night and today

Last night Cody and Garrett disassembled the table saw in the garage. Garrett found a mud dabber nest and showed it to me..I took a few pics.
Today the kids and I took some goofy pics. Not much else going on today,...I did everything else yesterday. Just have to load the dishwasher (again) and that's about it.
