"I don't think we're in Kansas anymore"

Cody went to school with a lady named Kim who got a job in Kansas after college. We hadn't seen her since our wedding so we went to visit her this weekend. We stayed there on Fri & Sat nights. It was nice to see her again. She was amazed by how big and good Bethany was. Bethany only cried for about 1 min the entire time we were there.

Kim has an in ground pool so we went swimming on Sat. The water was 72 which for me was a little cold but You get used to it. Bethany didn't want to get in after Daddy had put her feet in it the night before so I sat in a floating chair and held her in my lap which she still wasn't crazy about. Cody took her away from me and put her about chest deep in the water which she REALLY didn't like, enter 1 min crying, after that she was more than happy to sit in the chair and get pulled around the pool. She started splashing and really enjoying herself. It was really cute and I wanted to take pics but wasn't brave enough to take my camera into the pool.

Sunday we headed home but made a last min change in plans and went to Cody's Parents instead so Bethany could see Papa & Nanny. We stayed their last night and headed home EARLY this morning so Cody could get to work.

Cody, John & I went fishing in one of John's ponds last night. Between all 3 of us we caught 10+ fish but I didn't contribute much to that number. I only caught one perch. :( John tried to teach me how to fish with a plastic but I much prefer to use the spinners or live bait.

Speaking of plastic bait,....Bethany had never seen one before so we had fun with her last night. Daddy, Cody, was throwing them at her and she thought it was funny until she picked one up to throw it back. They are really squishy and funny feeling so she got a hilarious look on her face and dropped it fast. After that she was scared of them for awhile and freaked out when we put them on her arms or feet. But she got brave after a little while and decided to play with them. I wonder what kind of a reaction Garrett would have to them........

Today I have to do the usually housewife stuff. Clean house, go grocery shopping, unpack, cook, laundry, take Cody lunch, ect. Guess I should get started soon.
