the past few days

Just catching everyone up on the events of the past few days:

Friday we didn't end up having company, instead we opted to have a family night. I made a hot dogs, burgers and fries and we had a picnic in the living room while watching a kid movie.

Saturday we went to the Farmer's Market with another couple we are friends with and their son. On the way there we stopped at our usual donut shop and ate breakfast. After the Farmer's Market we went for a drive and then came home. I wasn't feeling well and had to lay down so Cody made the kids some lunch and then put them down for naps. After naps we took the kids to the bowling alley on base and let them play a couple of games. Bethany can't push the ball very hard so one of hers got 'stuck' about 3 feet away from the pins and a worker had to go rescue it. After that they brought us a plastic dinosaur that was a slide for the bowling ball. Both of the kids liked using it and no more balls got stuck. We ate pizza and nachos while playing. When we were done Cody and Garrett played a race car game in the little game room for awhile then it was home again.

Sunday we got up wondering what to do with the day and decided on going to Papa and Nanny's house to fish and have "adventures" on the 4-wheeler. We stayed the night and left at 5am the next morning to head home so Cody could go to work.

Monday the kids and I went to the zoo with Stacey and Rylee. The kids loved it esp Garrett. They have a dino exhibit right now and I took a video of him enjoying it. I did get a few pics too. The brown bears were playing in the water for several min and I got video of that too. We also took the kids on the carousel they have there. I was VERY worn out after the zoo,....it was a hot day. Cody rough housed the kids and played with them alot after dinner since I was so tired. He taught them how to jump through the hula hoop too.

So far today we met my friend Sarah and her 3 kids at the park and played there till it got too hot and then got slushies and came back to my house for awhile to let the kids play more. After they left I did dishes, fed the kids lunch, started laundry and lay them down for naps. Now we are babysitting Rylee for a few hours then Cody will be home and we can have dinner.

Tomorrow I have my ultrasound and I'm excited about it. Cody and both of the kids are coming with me to see the baby. I hope they take their naps before we leave for the Dr office. :)

I'm ready for a not so busy day but there is always so much to do.

It not even 10 am yet and I've already gone to Wal Mart. I wanted to beat the heat,....Oklahoma is having a heat wave, tomorrow is supposed to be the hottest day yet and then we are supposedly going to get a cold front. OK has weird weather patterns. So unpredictable.

Tomorrow we plan to get up fairly early and drive to Norman to get some good stuff from the farmer's market there. We will stop at our favorite donut shop on the way there for a special breakfast. Cody and I love Norman, we lived there for a year and it's a great little college town that has everything but still has a small town feel. We would like to live there again but the land there is outrageous and land is a huge priority for our next home purchase. We would like to have around 80-100 acres but a min of 40 or so. We are thinking of buying some land and then having a house built a year or two later. I have such hope for our future together.

We may have some friends over for a cookout tonight. Still working on getting that planned. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

HELP!!!
I'm being swallowed by a never ending list of things that have to be done or should probably get done or things that just pop up unexpectedly and I can't do anything about them. As a result I haven't posted anything since our trip even though we've been back or almost a week. Sorry bout that Yall :)
Bethany's b-day is sneaking up on me too and I will have to squeeze in all her pics in less than a month, hope you like seeing lots of baby Bethany pics.

Garrett and Bethany have been getting along really well since we picked him up, other than the occasional squabble over a toy of course. They both loved our vacation to the ocean, Garrett liked the sand and Bethany liked the water. They both enjoyed the pool and hot tubs and Bethany liked the lazy river while Garrett liked the other things better. Our last day at the beach we went to Ripley's Aquarium. Garrett had been looking forward to that since we arrived at the beach, he wanted to see the sharks. He really enjoyed our time there, the sharks and stingrays were his favorite. He got to touch a horseshoe crab and wanted to touch the stingrays but they never came close enough for him to touch.

Here's a few pics from our vacation:

feeling the need

for a Starbucks Coffee and scrambled eggs and bacon.
Will settle for the eggs.

Bethany had to go to the ER last night. We discovered about a month ago that she is very allergic to mosquito bites. They swell up really big and last for days and days. I keep bug spray on her but somehow she keeps getting bit and then she scratches and I can't stop her every time.

Yesterday we noticed the the entire lower half of her left leg was swollen till it was stiff and it was warmer than the rest of her body(she has about 6 bites on it ranging from 2 weeks old to recent ones). So we took her to the ER and they said she has an infection and gave us 2 different antibiotics, one to drink and one for her leg. We are hoping they will clear it up completely and quickly so it doesn't turn into Staff.

They said to give her showers not baths until they clear up. She's never had a shower so it's going to be interesting trying to give them to her.

After 4 days of looking I finally got a hotel reserved for our Beach trip. I'm really looking forward to going and enjoying my family in a fun and relaxing environment.

Going to go make some food now and then on to the never ending job of getting the house clean.
