things are coming along

Bethany is napping & Cody is resting, and it's 57 and cloudy outside so I thought it would be a perfect time to make a hot pot of tea and write a post.

This is a long weekend for Cody,....he has today off. There are perks for being a gov. employee :)

We have really tacked the house hard the past 2 days and finally we are almost done. We now have a completely empty 3rd bedroom(previously a storeroom of sorts), an organized garage with a new (just delivered yesterday) chest freezer, which I'm totally excited to have btw, a room just for my exercise equipment, and a big pile of stuff to go to Goodwill. Hello tax write off!

A little later today we will be moving the toy box, train table, and big toys into the 3rd bedroom and it will officially be the play room until Lily is 6 months old, then we will rearrange once again and it will become the girls room. The kids bedroom will be getting a bookshelf, and a lg amount of misc boxes and bins will be making their way into our attic storage. We will also be making a trip to Goodwill providing it doesn't start raining again.

I feel like we are much closer to being ready for Lily to arrive and that's a very good thing since I'm scheduled to be induced on Nov 10th. I have washed all of her clothes, sheets, & blankets as well as the cloth liners from the car seat and swing. Now I just have to put it all away, or back together, whichever the case may be.

I've made a ton of sausage balls and a few loaves of banana (sooo goood!) bread for the freezer. And plan to stock up on more easy fix food items for after we come home from the hospital.

Garrett will be here in 19 days! Cody & I are soo excited to see him again! Bethany is still asking and/or talking about him every day she will be thrilled to see him too.

At what point do you say that your child is completely potty trained? I believe Bethany is. She hasn't had any type of an accident at all in well over a week, not even at night. I don't know what to do with the 40+ size 5 diapers we have left, she's not using them at all. It's going to be a looong time before Lily will be that big.

I still have to buy a diaper bag and size 1 diapers. I already bought newborn and size 2 diapers. Don't ask me why I did that, I really don't know. My hormones must be interfering with brain function :)

Rob

Rob, I miss you!

Misc

Here are some misc pictures that were taken this month.

Girly Girl

Bethany's a Girly Girl

The various faces of Bambi

Bethany LOVES Bambi.

It is the first thing she asks for every morning.

She really gets in to the various moods in the movie.

She will get excited.

Happy.

Sad.

Confused.

Afraid.

Giggly.

You name it,....Bambi has it all.

She makes faces that show how she is feeling.

It's more fun to watch her watch the movie than to watch it with her.

A weekend at Papa & Nanny's

We spent last weekend at Papa and Nanny's house. Papa had got a bunch of geese decoys and they were all sitting out in the yard. Bethany loved them. She kept calling them chickens or ducks though. I just got her to say goose this morning while looking at the pictures. Bethany also played with Coco and fed grass to some of the calves. I took a ton of pics. Click on them to see them better.

Bethany

Bethany has been growing up so fast. She catches onto everything almost instantly. I recently bought her a few new Disney movies, I'm hoping to get all of the good older ones, and she really loves them. We got Bambi (which we already had on VHS), The Fox and the Hound, The Little Mermaid, and The Jungle Book.

So far she has watched each of them only once with the exception of Bambi which I'll explain in a bit. We all watched The Little Mermaid together 3 nights ago. Last night I gave Bethany a fork and asked her to take it to her Daddy. She got to within 5 feet of him then stopped and started combing her hair with it. We both cracked up. Hard to believe she picked that up from just seeing the movie once. :)

Bambi is the first thing she asks for every morning and has been for at least a month. She watches it once or twice every single day. So far she hasn't gotten tired of it. She is actually watching it right now.

I have taken quite a few pictures lately and am in the process of getting them on the computer right now. I'll put the ones from this morning on this post and the rest on different one. We went to Hobby Lobby with Stacey and Rylee yesterday and got Bethany a butterfly. It was originally made to be part of a flower arrangement but we put it in the wall over her bed. They had several colors but we only got blue so far. they are on sale for a buck each though so I may go get some more so I can decorate the girls room with them after we get carpet and the girls room exists.

As always the pictures will get bigger if you click on them.

Might I just add that it is very difficult to take a picture of one's own pregnant belly.
